Today, we made a somewhat educational visit to Seri Kembangan The Mines for the so-much-talked-about book sale...it was quite a long way from Shah Alam since we did not know the place so the turn around, the re-routing was common for us....thank you abah for being so understanding and patient.
Alin and Ayish scouted the children's section....umi was nowhere to be found hehehe...i lost myself......
My search for my favourite books plus authors such as Maeve Binchy ( family) and Patricia Conwell (pathology n crime)was a success.. i managed to grab a few new titles....at the price of RM8.00 each.....very cheap weh........ i think i bought about 10 new fictions....plus a few Chicken Soup editions, not to forget some reference books, puzzles, etc......
Not to worry as i had these 2 helpers, Akak and Eman who obligingly carried the heavy box containing all my purchases.....
Given the chance, i would sleep here...they promised a 24-sale today and tomorrow is the last day......
After my first purchase of rm180, i made a second entrance, accompanied this time by another helper, Bob....he was tailing me closely, scared that i would fall since i was so tired actually.
This time, i only bought about 50rm.....enough la for a year read......insyaallah, next year, we will go again.....how i wish this kind of year-end sale will be held in Penang for the Northerners...it would be closer to our hometown and we can spend more on books.........IQRA'...........
