Along called again last nite, telling about his oral exam today. Obstetrics ...i am no doctor but i could share with him some of my experience delivering 8 babies...so considered as first hand knowledge, right. Some doctors take a month holiday off to go and help their children prepare for exam in medic. I cannot do that obviously ....so the only way to help along is by sharing my 8 different scary yet rewarding moments giving birth to them.
Before i never explained in details, knowing he was not ready yet, but now since he is into it...seeing it, studying it i guess it is not wrong for me to impart whatever informal knowledge i have, which could be a help, if it is a help at all. if not, it is just a story so that he knows how difficult it is for mothers to bring their children to this world.
Thinking about that makes me realize that ...in 20 years, i went through near death nerve-wrecking experience and each delivery had its own interesting tale....it looks funny now. I am myself awed that i was able to endure all the pain which was actually known to those who went through it. It was no joke when you hear the story that some husbands faint while assisting their wives in labour room. it is really a no funfair for the faint heart.
Syukur alhamdulillah, my 8 deliveries went smoothly without any serious complications. They were all different but all went well....subhanallah, it must be the blessings and the prayers from my parents, family members and of course my husband who was very supportive and understanding. This is the most valuable help an expecting mother would ask for.
In a half an hour along will sit for his test...all my prayers are for him and his friends.......focus and give your very best, Along.......
