Yesterday, we made a wasted trip to Penang, only to spend a nite there and then came back to Kedah....ala orang kaya gitu......you know why? First abah promised the children that he would take them swimming at the sea nearby Copthorne Hotel....it did not happen, sadly coz abah suddenly ( actually expectedly) got another bout of ghout....that nite he had sotong at nasi kandar restaurant at Tesco.....so at noon, we returned to Kedah. We made a stop at mak ngah's house in Yan.....it rained so we ended up dozing off for an hour and then by asar, we left the place. near maghrib, we arrived at Shahab Perdana Bus Station....i cant remember why we stopped there...oh ye...abah said let's go to this nasi kandar restaurant there....only to find out that the restaurant was not there anymore........famished, we ordered dinner at a restaurant nearby....to tell the truth i was not really keen on having dinner there. One thing...it was deserted which signified that restaurant was not popular and the place...disgusting.....but we already stopped there so we forced ourselves to taste the food there.............i was very sure that i would get a stomachache after that......
Adik and I had to go to the toilet....and off we went to the one at the bus station only to see the most deplorable toilet that we have ever entered..............payment was a must....but if i had other places to ease myself, i would do that but..................i wonder how could they keep a dirty place like that....it is a centre of commuters....from all over the country who come to Kedah........dont they have any guilt, pride or conscience?.....i felt like telling the man who collected the money but......of course i was scared that he would not take it nicely............i left the place feeling so sad......this would certainly tarnish the image of our beloved state in the eye of other tourists...........
Not only that, the air cond waiting room also was so stuffy...the smell could make you faint for a year.........why dont they install air freshner so the place is more presentable and welcoming......my heart ached to see this .......how i wish i could call a reporter to come and highlight this in papers or on Tv....then again, it would mar the image of Kedah... i cannot do that........
Even the taxi stand hidup segan mati tak mau....the drivers just sit and wait for the passenger.....well they sit too long and too much that one can see all the back of the chairs there are actually tied together......so kedekut to buy new ones..........adoi......why nobody wants to spend some money to beautify the place? after all, that is their so called office....tempat cari makan......so it should be comfortable and attractive.......
One day, it must write to Shahab Perdana office.....i care about my state and i care what people say about Kedah.......i hate people who only think about money and could not care less about the surrounding......... i am sure if the main terminal gets a new facelift.....many people will use it and Shahab Perdana Bus Station will give the best service ever..................how i pray for that.......................................if i become a member of the state council, this is the place that i will give all my attention to.......
