Emanku ke SBPI

Today, we sent eman to SBPI Kubang Pasu, about 8 km from matric. The whole process took about 4 hours, from principal's briefing to registration, buying stuff for him n we left him at about 2.30pm.

if last time, we were reluctant to let along n bob choose schools other than agama school, this time however, we had to oblige to his request, thinking it would be a nice fruitful change for him. we have been visiting the boys every weekend for the past 10 years, now the route would change from Alor Star to Bukit Kayu Hitam, which is not much to my liking as umi does not favour going again to Changlun on weekends as everyday, that is my working place.

we pray that eman could run away from the shadows of his 2 brothers and carve his own glory in his own way. hope he will succeed in whatever he does, amin.take care,my boy.

Apa erti harijadi

pada 24 dan 25 feb, akak dan bob menyambut harijadi ke 20 dan 19, respectively. umi dan keluarga amat bersyukur kerana keduanya berada di dalam keadaan sihat sejahtera. apapun umi ingin memberi nasihat kepada semua anak2 umi agar menjadikan harijadi itu sebagai suatu hari istimewa utk kita muhasabah diri kerana harijadi itu bukan diukur oleh:

- berapa banyak wish kita dapat dari FB dan SMS
- berapa mahal harga hadiah yang kita dapat
- berapa tinggi score kita dalam bowling
- dimana kita celebrate hari itu
- apa makanan special yang kita makan
- sejauh mana kita diraikan oleh keluarga dan kkwan.

Tetapi, harijadi ialah hari kita berfikir:

- sudah matangkah kita untuk menjalani kehidupan ini
- sudah banyakkah amalan yang kita lakukan.
- sudah berubahkan perangai kita kepada yg lebih baik
- sudah bersediakan kita utk berkorban
- sudah cukupkah pengorbanan kita
- sudah gembirakah ibubapa kita
- apakah yang dapat kita hulurkan kepada orang lain
- apakah jasa yang dapat kita sumbangkan
- apakah kerjabuat kita sudah diterima Allah

dan banyak lagi persoalan yang patut kita jawab seikhlas mungkin kerana kita telah sehari lebih tua dari semalam.

Ladies Touch

Today the committee went all out making sure the stage is presentable for the special occasion tomorrow. still there are a few minor touch up that must be finalize before the visit of the TPM. umi really has my friends to thank for all their full commitment in decorating the stage and mini stadium. we did our level best and the view is up to all, which we are fully aware of their comments. we already utilize our craft and creativity and the result is for all to see. Ummi really pray that tomorrow will be a good day for all, even though surprisingly, the rain graced our stadium late evening for 2 days. even if it rains again tomorrow, it would be a blessing for we have experienced drought for a few months already.

Ni la menunjukkan betapa sibuknya ummi 2 minggu ni...tapi best deal ngan bunga. hope everything will turn out to be a success.

Salam Buat junjungan kita nabi Muhammad S.A.W. May his love, spirit and eternal dedication emulated by all Muslims..
Umi was always on the toes, after fetching along at the airport, dashed to Ampang for a workshop on MBMMBI thing, editing the lesson plans sent by all colleges to Matriculatin Division. 3 days went by and on Friday 12 feb, umi returned, and later was kept busy with the preparation for the visit of TPM.
Monday, meeting again, finalized things, then umi n friends went to Sin Tiong Nursery, ordered many plants to be used to decorate the stage..this is no small matter because it would be the centre of attention.
umi already got some ideas, collected from a few magazines and discussions with committee. insyaallah, thngs will go smoothly. hopefully next week, we can start our work...gatai tangan dah ni nak pegang pokok. ala kat rumah tak leh creative sangat sebab pulus kurang. this one, we just ordered so relax sikit.
At home, the routine continues as always, this time along and umi and atih and abah take turn looking after tok.never mind if the house is tunggang langgang, janji kerja siap.

Depan Mataku

Selasa malam, after maghrib, abah, umi and alin dah bertolak ke KL..stop merata2 tempat sebab mengantuk tapi selesa gak sebab tak ramai sangat. subuh time kami dah ada di Sg Buloh jejantas, get ready to fetch along. then along called kata dia dah sampai, at 7.40 dah touchdown, kami masih kat situ so rush like anything. sampai KLIA, tengok orang dah ramai dok tunggu, siap ngan sepanduk lagi.
adui mana kelibat along ni, dah lengoh tengkok kami dok jenguk, akhirnya at 9 baru nampak dia. adegan menangis adalah sikit2, takla over macam orang lain sebab umi pandai control emosi.
kami stop sat kat shah alam , ingat nak jumpa akak, tapi dia ada kelas, terus ke jejantas sg buloh lagi sebab umi nak tunggu pregio pejabat yg bawa eda and salmi. dan makan KFC and bertolakla ke Ampang and sampai Hotel Flamingo at 1.30..abah dah bawa along and alin balik.
3.00 pm, mesyuarat dah start...4.30 habis, terus jalan ke Ampang Point, kena beli berus gigi n lotion yg tertinggal dlam kereta. malam sambung balik meting sampai 11.00. letih tau dah la tak cukup tidur and rehat. abah and along dah sampai Kedah at 10.30pm, syukur depa selamat. hope along dapat berihat secukupnya.

Setia

Ever since the Egypt unrest began, the whole family has become ardent TV3 news fan and newspapers readers, trying to catch the glimpse of along...anybody resembles him would be the focus...he he finally, tonite on TV3 news at 8pm, we managed to see him, departing the Hercules; White n black stripe jacket...,memang sah muka dia....anak2 also said the same...so umi bukan mereyan sorang diri....

He said, they are still waiting for the turn to depart to malaysia. never mind as long as they are out of Egypt...however, of course they are not comfortable being in a packed hostel meant for 2,ooo but now occupied by many thousands...it is not an easy task to manage all of them.

whatever it is, we are praying really hard to see all malaysians there safe and sound.this is certainly a history, something we have never thought of.

8.00 TV3 news mengatakan proses evakuasi( hah..translate direct betui) berjalan lancar. at 7.00 along sms me that he will board in 30 min. so sat lagi dia sampai ke Jeddah, insyaallah.
Apa yang menarik ialah amaran seorang timbalan menteri yang menafikan bahawa rakyat melaysia yg dipindahkan akan dikenakan tambang. Ha...memanglah parents semua risau sbb dgr kata kena bayar...awat tak cerita dari awai ..jelaskan sejelas jelasnya bahawa depa tak kena bayar, kan senang. i am sure students kat sana ada dpt maklumat kena bayar, itu yg depa habar kat parents. dalam keadaan terdesak gini, tak ada sapa boleh disalahkan...semua orang risau....
Apapun kita doakan semuanya selamat. Rakyat didahulukan...semangat 1Malaysia.hehe.

Latest news

While umi is updating this, abah is talking to along, who tells abah that his turn will be on Friday, tomorrow, as scheduled. Umi and abah will not rest assured until we see along. what?cry? not yet...maybe when we see him..then only umi will burst...umi is still strongly holding on to the fact that along n frens are ok. Allah will guide them as they are doing fisabilillah....insyaallah they will be fine.

Tonight Bob and Eman spend the nite at tok's. last nite, akak and atih, umi is at home, just keeping vigil, waiting for news from along. umi is really thankful to all my children who are giving their full support to umi n abah. also to all frens and relatives who are praying hard for along's safety.

This CNY is just a break for us, as the news from Egypt is more important. Syukur along has enough money..he told us that those wanting to go back to Malaysia from Jeddah will have to pay for the tickets....what an absurd news...imagine those who do not have the money..what would happen to them? i just cannot understand why the government is focusing more on money in this dire situation...maybe they need more money for another election in Merlimau or giving donations to flood victims, or maybe because malaysian students are mostly Muslim Malays. some even instigate in FB that government should not help these students because they are opponent followers. they should not make a sweeping statement like that. imagine we still have these kind of people who would rather think about politic than helping their own brothers. downright selfish.....

Whatever it is, umi and abah are quite relieved, knowing that along is safe and sound. We believe Allah is more Powerful than ordinary people who are holding powers. So in Allah we trust......

Doaku Doamu

Noon news on TV3 reported that the evacuation of all Malaysians will take about 5 days, and the proses was very slow as the unrest in Egypt is getting worse, thus would slow down the whole thing.
Umi also read the newspapers, reporting the parents' worries and hopes, especially to those students who are staying in remote areas, apartments, houses as many run out of food. umi just cannot imagine why the Malaysian government always becomes the last hero when it comes to facing emergencies. there are so many red tapes, many plans, many excuses given, whereas the situation worsens. what i can conclude is, the ministers will definitely take prompt action if their own children are there, stranded in the land of chaos. surely they will not spare a second, coining the name of the operation. but now, after more than a week, then only their decided to make the move, slow move and now surely slower than before.

One more thing, they are facing mostly the Malays who are very patient and proper, always believe that the government will act fast.just imagine if other ethnics are involved...the plane will touch down even before the traffic controller realizes. i am not prejudice, but i learn from past tragedies that befell Malaysia.

My frustration level is up to the ceiling now...and i am pretty sure other 11,000 parents feel the same way. My heart really goes to female students who are left unattended in houses that are prone to break-ins and robbery and even physical acts. i try not to fall on my limbs, my knees, my everything coz i trust my son and his friends will be patient and safe. however, i cannot help but feel helpless and worried until i see him in person.

What tickle me to dry laugh is why we have to wait and wait until the situation turns for the worse, then only we try all our best to overcome the problem. imagine if the evacuation starts last week, surely by now, there will only be a few hundreds students left and not thousands....why we never wake up from our silly sleep and take a swift action whenever emergencies arise.

some people might say that i am emotional, but whoever is in my shoes will surely understand how i feel. i never question the move, but what i dont like is why so late.........so slow.....so heartbreaking......

Penghibur Kami

Dalam dok sedih2 ni hati kami sekeluarga agak terhibur ngan telatah sibongsu Ayish.
antaranya:

Kelmarin, umi tertidur awai, maklum letih..sekali at 12.30 umi terbangun n tercari-cari ayish..tak ada di tempat tidur. umi terus ke bilik atih. sekali tengok ayish dok menerap atas lantai...buat apa ni?

Ropa2nya umi tengok dia dok buat homework. Ya Allah, kesiannya, orang len dah lentok tidur,, dia dok tenyeh pensil sorang2. umi kata tak pa la, esok kita buat. dia kata tak boleh, cikgu marah kalau tak siap.jangan bagi kakak tolong buat( ala cikgu dah tau atih tolong siapkan homework ayish). Umi suruh dia baca doa tidur, kerna terlalu letih dia sudah confuse nak baca doa : Allahumma ba rik lana....atau Allahummabismika ahya waamut....kesian..

Syukur anakku dengar kata cikgu....

Hari ni pulak dia balik siap baca doa dlm bahasa arab yg dia pakai redah aje..antara maksud doa ialah: Ya Allah, ampunkanlah dosa ibubapa kami, sayangilah mereka sepertimana mereka mengasihani kami......Semua yg lain turut mengaminkan doa Ayish..terharu umi rasa.....

Syukur ayish dah pandai sejak sebulan ke sekolah....

Sibukkan Diri

Hari ini jam 8 pagi Along call cakap dia nak ke Jeddah sebagai pilihan untuk keluar dari Mesir, kalau nak balik ke Malaysia, kena tambang sendiri. buat waktu ini, dia dan kkwan di ARMA sihat. Riuh rendak kkwan dia dok besembang. Umi risau kalau depa tak dapat perhatian di Jeddah nanti, tapi abah kata maybe diaorang akan ditempatkan di Kompleks Tabung Haji sana. apapun umi harap kerajaan cepat2 la hantar bantuan.

Then at 11, umi ngan pn Hajar and Liza ke nursery Chun Man, gile tengok pokok bunga. then at 12, kami ke nursery MDKP pulak. thanks to En. Wan Fitri n En Yusof yg melayan kami dengan baik. Insyaallah kami akan buat keputusan secepat mungkin untuk membeli atau menyewa pokok2 bunga ini untuk persiapan tempat Matrikulasi Bersama-sama Masyarakat.

Sebenarnya, hati umi amat berat utk buat semua ni, kerana umi amat risaukan along, tapi kalau umi dok temenung fikirkan dia pun, tak ada kesan apa. Walaupun demam umi on off, umi gagah juga buat kerja. umi tak mau fikiran terganggu sangat. biarlah umi sibukkan diri. disamping itu sms yg banyak dari kkwan dan sedara memberi semangat kepada umi dan keluarga, rupanya ramai yg ambil berat.Terima kasih banyak2 diatas doa semua. semoga Along n frens selamat di manapun mereka berada.

Inilah yang dikatakan pengorbanan. dugaan tetap ada baik di manapun kita pergi. yang penting kena kuat semangat. umi memang sedih tapi, hanya doa yg dapat dipanjatkan.
Allah amat Mengetahui dan Menyayangi umatnya.

What a Chaos!

Well, been a long time since umi posted my last entry. life was ( still is) very busy. what is my main concern, however, is the situation in Egypt, where along is studying. seems like Hosni Mubaraq still wants to hold on to his post regardless his citizens' protest.
Yesterday, umi tried to contact along and syukur umi managed to talk to him for about 15 min. he could not contact umi as topup cards were all sold. luckily, he is already staying at ARMA, malaysian hall so not much movement done compared to those staying in apartments or houses.
He said they are all fine, taking turn doing the sentry stuff and the tok arab outside their building are also guarding the area. their ration is still ok as they bought stuff before the coup/ quarantine.

Morning news today said that the government is taking the 11,000 citizens home by land and air. syukur, what are they waiting for. the grunts and critics by the parents finally was heeded, so insyaallah they are coming back. besides, the Egyptians will continue their demo until the president steps down, so the place is very unsafe.

Umi hopes everyone will pray for our people's safety. umi is very worried that now my health goes unstable...malam aje demam. besides, umi is busy preparing the venue for the visit of TPM on 24th feb. imagine preparing place for 6,000 people. umi has to settle tents and decorations...fening fening
