Pusara Sepi Ayahanda

Friday morning, umi made a solo visit to this grave, allahyarham my father who passed away 3 years ago. Hj Mat Zain, was a very quiet,kind, caring and humble man, a person with lots of sly jokes, soft touch and concerned soul, a figure that i would never forget in my entire life.

Normally, umi only visited this cemetry twice a year, on raya days ... a shame...it was not umi did not want to go,but umi was quite scared to go alone, to ask abah to accompany was not a likable thing to do, so this morning, umi made a bold move, ( thanks to Liza who reminded umi early morning), missed a route but finally arrived safely. Syukur, there were a few people, paying their respect and reciting Yaasin.

Umi tried to clear the cut weeds as clean as possible but my stiff fingers only managed to pull this much. Umi brought some jasmine and kenanga and collected some nearby grown flowers.... While reciting Al fatihah, the cleaning process was done and then umi moved to Mak Lang Wan, Pak Lang Fathil and Long Tam's graves, which were very close to each other.

Being there for a half an hour was enough to make umi thinks about death, about the loneliness of the dead, the silent request for family's prayers, the long waiting, the long lost love of the family and many other things. Umi promised to go there again, as often as i could, to offer whatever soul help to  my family members. When my time comes, hopefully, all my children would do the same....Al Fatihah....
