Priceless present for a teacher

This morning, i started my day by reading the so-called autograph signed by my 70 students from 4 classes. Going through what they penned actually brought me to tears as i really value their words. being with them in tutorials was the best moments i had and i enjoyed every minute of the hours we spent together.

Whenever i entered the class, i was somehow transformed into a new world, a very stimulating experience because i enjoyed observing their attitudes; sometimes OK and sometimes, KO but i always told myself not to be offended or frustrated or disappointed if they failed to give me 100% focus for i understand that feeling tired, inattentive, dreamy and sleepy is  normal. who would be forever excited in learning if you have to go through such hectic days from 8 to 5 everyday.  Nevertheless, my students were too polite not to fall  asleep in my class, even though given the chance, they would hop onto their bed and snore for 4 months. I would tell  my students to sleep if they wanted  but do that with their eyes OPEN. Well, that always did  the trick and they would somehow pry open their eyes and  try to stay awake.

Back to the autograph......well allow me to extract some of their expressions that moved me to tears:

Madam/ Teacher , you are not only my teacher, but also my mother ( hehe they dont know me as their mother yet)...i like being in your class, it was fun being in your class.....i enjoyed ur chocolate cakes( hehe they always appreciate my tak berapa jadi cake)...frankly.knowing you has certainly changed my attitude......you teach me love, friendship, life ......hope you will be happy always, even after your retirement( well i still have about 10 years to go)...i learn a lot from you....there are a lot i want to write but i dont know how.......i will always remember you ( ye le tu )you are the best teacher......i had fun in your class......i follow your blog ( ye ke?).....you changed my life...thank  you for telling me to be who i am.......etc etc etc......well i was in cloud nine.......

Frankly, i was ( and still am) touched by their words, which i believe came from their sincere heart. As much as they liked being in my class, i also found happiness and satisfaction teaching them..actually more of regaling them with my never ending stories about my life, my children, my hobby etc...i just hope i did not bore them much because i believe sharing is caring. They were ( and still am) my extended children.....

My prayers are always for them. with them , hoping that every single one of them would succeed and become useful, soleh and solehah people.  May Allah grant all their wishes and hopes and May Allah bless all my deeds towards them, insyaallah
