Relationship Rekindled

Yesterday nite, we had a guest,  a long lost friend back in our old time in Kingston n Montreal, a nice fella who used to be our Penghulu when we first arrived in Canada. He is now an officer at IAB, visiting SBT ( sekolah berprestasi tinggi) in Kedah. somehow he got hold of abah's number and from a phone call led to a lunch and last nite a dinner at D'Bendang.....

Mr Zairi used to be abah's badminton partner when they represented LCVI (Loyalist  Collegiate and Vocational Institute )when we did our Grade 13 in 1982. they represented the college in badminton tournaments there and of course at that time umi hardly noticed them or ...its the other way around. at that time umi n kak lang Maziah Mohd from n9 were busy chasing mamat yg kerja kat Loblaws (SUPERMARKET)....where r u kak long? i miss our time at Unncle James's house, 224 Auden park Drive...hm what happens to my foster father eh?

Even though we went to the same Concordia University, Montrel, umi hardly spoke to him coz umi spent more time with abah hehehe.....however, last nite umi found out he was a talkative guy ( maybe his nature of work built this character)....but what is interesting is that he also grows grey hair just like abah and experiencing almost the same type of illness......that only proves that men grow old faster than women .....

Our chit chat session continued at our house and the topics of discussion varied from our old time there and our search for friends who are scattered in Malaysia. Some could be contacted through FB while many disappeared quietly,without a trace....if only we Montrealers could have a reunion somewhere and umi is 99% confident we will win the award for the Couple With The Most Number of Children.......and still remains loving and caring...chewah perasan.

Hopefully our relationship will flourish till the day we leave this world, and we get more chances to meet the others.....but zairi did mention that many of our friends are now big shots....in the field of education,,,,,tak pa umi will remain a lecturer but with DG52....umi cannot help but laugh at the thoughts of our toya time 27 years ago. who would have thought that we would succeed like this...pray that we will see more so that we can share more happy moments.
