For the past 3 days i have been cooking up the storm in the kitchen, preparing breakfast .... it is really exciting thinking of the menu..started with mee ( tak sedap), bihun ( ok la) and today macaroni ( so so )...i dont care much about the taste because i am not a good cook...after being in service for more than 20 years, this is the first time, i prepare breakfast...lunch saja i prepared....but to do both is really a no no as i dont have the time...
however, this week i wake up before six to make sure i can finish cooking before 6.30...to make it easy, i normally prepare the ingredients at nite and keep them in the fridge...
cooking can actually be fun...dont get me wrong. it is not that i dont cook, but i will do it on weekends or when i have the time...if u are a mother of 8 and there are so many things u have to do, cooking is no fun at all as the preparation n cleaning take time....
what more now i have to go n look after my mom every evening...so i have limited time to spend at nite....by 10 am already beat...
u know what changed my mine...well it is my sister, Teh who lives in Sg Buloh who actually stimulate my interest in cooking. last week we spent 3 days at her house. i watched closely how she prepared meals....look very easy..she can whip up anything and it turns out so delicious....so much so that my hubby n children waited for meal time....so i felt challenged.....ha ha ha..... my sister is a fulltime housewife. dont compare with me, a pro in teaching......
whatever the reason is, frankly, i feel so complete as a mother because i can fulfil my role...maybe it is nothing to others, but to me...it is a big accomplishment..wait till i ask my husband to get me a new stove....sure he will buy one....he just bought a new washing machine...13 kg...puas hati hang...leh letak ayish n alin kat dalam.
so....what's for tomorrow....nasi goreng kampung...teringat lak kat bob...his favourite.....
apa pun....malam ni umi p lawan bowling anjuran KMK....so my dear hubby n childre....nasi ayam kat pasar malam Taman Suria sedap gak.......umi tak leh masak mlm ni....bz nak strike the pin....
