Semalam abah dah dpat contact kkwan dari LCVI ( Loyalist Collegiate & Vocational Institute, Kingston Canada....ada a few yg masuk facebook...ada gambar lagi...sure umi recalls our time there...in 1983..we first arrived in Kingston on 31st August....then spent 1 year in Grade 13( form 6 ) umi stayed with Saleha and Muslimah at uncle James Strong's house...yeah 910 Auden Park Drive, a township quite far away from school...we usually took the bus..driven by Uncle Bill, Mama....they were so nice, friendly and caring....they would ask questions about our life in Malaysia...whether we got news from family or not...imagine here in Msia...sure nobody cares.
There were about 50 of us there...all stayed with foster parents...abah ngan a preacher n his wife...maziah, zam and aza at Zuheer's( Eygptian)...and many more....kami suma dok kat basement..
first time snow fell, uncle james called mus and umi out to see it...both of us were so excited that put on our winter coat n boots....ha ha ha...itu baru snow sikit kami dah seronok giler....then it became so cold that umi had to wear glove writing letters home.....
Then, we moved to Montreal...studied at Concordia Univ.....umi did TESL, abah studied Mathematics.....first umi stayed with mama liza, fazi, siti and shimah at 323 Melville St..kawasan orang kaya...pi u naik METRO ( underground train/subway). then pindah to De Maisonnerve...then pindah ke Guy St when we got married....from the apartment we could see SIR GEORGE WILLIAM campus building.jaln kaki aje ke kelas.
In 1986, we graduated and returned in August...sayang we could not stay for graduation...government tak larat nak bayar duit dah......so we left for Malaysia......
tu la sikit sebanyak yg umi leh cerita...hopefully pas ni leh buat reunion ngan kkwan ni
